River Wye Lawsuit

Law firm Leigh Day have launched legal action against Avara Foods and Cargill one of the UK’s largest food producers, for allegedly polluting the River Wye through manure spread on farmland in the catchment area.

Materiality produced this map for Leigh Day to estimate and visualise Avara Foods/Cargill’s responsibility for manure spread near the River Wye. This map was designed as an intuitive and flexible engagement tool for Leigh Day’s events around the River Wye and displayed at Hay Literature Festival 2024.
