Who Owns Dartmoor?


  • Description:

Who Owns Dartmoor? maps the landowners of Dartmoor. Produced as a physical map for bestselling author, Guy Shrubsole, it makes the ownership and politics of the moor portable and legible, overlaying Shrubsole’s ownership research with public rights of access. The map was collected by the Museum of English Rural Life and Grizedale Arts, and exhibited by the Museum of English Rural Life for the Radical Rural Trail and CPRE centenary and featured on their Absolute Units podcast.

Research Outputs:

 A printed map of land ownership and access rights across Dartmoor. Used on Guy Shrubsole's The Lie of the Land book tour and exhibited at St Anne's House Bristol.
