Impact
Our design philosophy centres your audience and we work with clients to determine what materials are needed to maximise impact and reach. We use an array of design formats and mediums to express our findings, including: interactive maps and charts, gifs, videos, print, installations, physical models and audio.
Design is a central part of project planning at Materiality. We discuss strategy, objectives and audience at the first point to determine what outputs best suit your story, and iterate on these as research progresses. We find that a targeted audience-focused design approach makes a huge difference to research engagement and impact.
Our advanced visual investigation techniques - such as mapping and satellite imagery analysis - means our research translates well into visual outputs, supporting publication and giving your audience a clear picture of the findings.
We are available to produce work that corresponds with an organisation’s design style, or, alternatively, we can create unique design languages for specific interventions and projects.
